Caring for linen
IN THREE steps

1. WASH THE LINEN
To care for your linen garments, we recommend hand washing. However, machine washing is possible, provided you select a delicate cycle at 30°C to preserve the softness of the fibers. Dry cleaning is strongly discouraged. Remember to wash your garments inside out and separate light colors to prevent color transfer. Many items, such as our men's linen shirts, are garment-dyed, which gives them a subtle color and a soft feel. Washing does not alter the quality of the fabric, but this process is designed to change the color over time, creating a natural patina effect that makes each piece unique.
- Wash by hand or on a delicate cycle at 30°C.
- Prefer washing inside out
- Separate colors from lighter tones
2. Dry the linen
Drying is an essential step in caring for your linen garments. We recommend drying them in the open air, away from direct sunlight, to preserve the fiber and color of the fabric. Naturally airy and fluid, linen tends to crease, an aspect that is appreciated for its authentic charm. However, machine drying may accentuate this effect excessively and even cause shrinkage. To limit creasing, it is best to hang your garments on a hanger as soon as they come out of the wash. If they remain too wrinkled after drying, ironing may be considered. To preserve the fabric, we recommend ironing it inside out, while it is still slightly damp, with a hot iron set to no higher than 150°C.
- Air drying on hangers
- Iron on damp fabric inside out at 150°C

3. LINEN THROUGH THE AGES
Linen clothing is a natural fabric that improves with age. Its fibers soften with each wash, becoming increasingly soft to the touch and flowing beautifully without losing any of their quality. However, caring for linen requires storing your garments in the best possible conditions, taking a few precautions: when not being worn, we recommend storing linen in a dry place, away from moisture and direct light, to prevent any color fading. Fold carefully or use a hanger for more structured items to minimize creases. Unlike other fabrics, linen does not require a plastic cover, which could trap moisture and damage the fibers.
- Store in a dry place away from light.
- Prioritize storage on hangers
