Q. Could you introduce yourself?
R. My name is Joe Phelan, from K2 Alpaca Farm—everyone calls me Alpaca Joe. I started this adventure nine years ago. Since then, it has grown and expanded. The farm covers 90 hectares, which gives our alpacas plenty of space! We have 71 alpacas and two llamas.
Q. Can you tell us more about alpaca wool?
A. Alpaca wool is simply fantastic. You have to touch and feel it to appreciate its quality. Alpaca is water-resistant and flame-retardant, which gives it excellent thermal properties.
Alpaca clothing is very soft, very light, but also very warm.
And despite their softness, they are very durable and last for years.
