The shawl-collar cardigan is a classic of the men's wardrobe. It is recognisable by its generous rounded collar reminiscent of tuxedo jacket lapels. Our tip: this jumper is heavier and noticeably warmer than classic wool, made to face the coldest days. Wear it as a statement piece over a fine T-shirt, paired with flannel trousers or thick chinos to structure the silhouette. This model is knitted from a blend of alpaca, yak and merino wool. These three natural fibres create a warm, breathable and highly resistant jumper.

Our manufacturing process embodies Hartford’s commitment to high-quality, sustainable production. We prioritize local sourcing, with 80% of our products manufactured in the Mediterranean region (Morocco, Portugal, Italy), while the remainder is produced worldwide based on the origin of materials and local expertise—such as in India for certain prints or embroidery, or in China for certain specialty wools, for example. We rely on long-term partnerships, synonymous with reliability and expertise: 50% of our products are manufactured by partners we’ve worked with for over 20 years, and 80% by partners we’ve worked with for over 10 years. Finally, we prioritize contract manufacturing (60% of production) by sourcing materials ourselves in Europe, thereby ensuring full traceability and access to the finest European natural materials.
