This Confidentiality and Cookies Policy applies to the personal data (hereinafter the “Personal Data”) of users of the Hartford website (hereinafter the “Site”) as well as all of our customers in stores. 2. How are personal data collected?

This data may be collected when creating a customer account on our website, placing an online order, subscribing to the newsletter, contacting our customer service, when browsing the internet, when posting on social media, or using our website. MELTEX undertakes to respect the principle of data minimization and limitation of purposes which consists of collecting only the data necessary for their processing. The data collected must not be reused subsequently, in conflict with the purpose of their collection.

During exchanges between MELTEX and a user, certain information may be marked with an asterisk. This means that they are mandatory and must be provided. This is information necessary for the provision of a service or the conclusion of the contract. For example, your postal address is necessary to deliver your order.

 

3. Why is this data collected?

The collection of your personal data is necessary for the company MELTEX in order to: adapt the presentation and experience of our site (mobile, computer or tablet), allow you to create and access a personal space on our site, answer your questions, enable the commercial relationship (process and monitor your order, your delivery, your invoicing, after-sales service, carrying out satisfaction surveys, etc.), manage unpaid debts and disputes, fight against fraud.

Data may also be transmitted to competent authorities, upon their request, in order to comply with other legal obligations.

 

5. How long is your data kept?

MELTEX undertakes not to retain personal data for longer than necessary, in accordance with the needs of the professions concerned and legal archiving requirements. For example, and in accordance with Simplified Standard 48 for the management of customer and prospect files, personal data relating to customers/prospects cannot be kept beyond the retention period strictly necessary for the management of the commercial relationship. . At the end of the retention periods that MELTEX has set itself, the data is either deleted or anonymized for statistical purposes. Intermediate archiving data can be used for litigation or pre-litigation cases.

When data is deleted or anonymized, MELTEX is no longer able to recover it.

 

6. Is personal data shared with other companies or transferred outside the EU?

MELTEX undertakes not to sell your personal data to partner brands for commercial purposes. Your personal data may be shared with some of our subcontractors to enable us to: carry out advertising campaigns (send campaigns, optimize mailings, improve campaign targets, etc.); improve customer knowledge from a statistical and geomarketing point of view; improve navigation on the site if you accept the use of cookies.

Your personal data is stored within the European Union, but may be transferred to service providers or subcontractors located in a country outside the European Union. MELTEX would like to draw your attention to the creation of an online customer account. The creation of a customer account can only be done by entering a username and password that are personal to you. However, you must protect your account password and not share it with anyone. We advise you to create a strong password (minimum 8 characters with 4 types of characters: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters). It is best not to reuse the same password for multiple sites. As a reminder, MELTEX will never ask you, by sending an email, for your username, password or bank details.

 

8. What are your rights and how to exercise them?

9. Data Breach

MELTEX undertakes to notify the CNIL of any violation of personal data under the conditions prescribed by the regulations in this area. The client/prospect will be informed of any data breach which could have a significant impact for him, for example, infringe his rights or involve a risk for him or those around him.
