Women's Stylist Warp & Weft

I've been working at Hartford for nine years as a warp and weft stylist. I primarily design shirts, pants, coats, jackets, dresses, and tops, with the exception of knitwear and T-shirts. Part of my work focuses on more technical pieces, which incorporate embroidery and specialty fabrics like faux fur or double-sided fabric. Another significant portion concerns other pieces, where I develop prints, stripes, and other specific details to create unique designs.
Can you tell us about the different women's shirt models?
There are several flagship models that return every season. In particular, the Corazon shirt and the Coraz shirt, which are the first models from women's shirts. These will often be classic, rather tailored shirts. They are quite similar, but the collar on the Corazon shirt is smaller, more feminine, while the collar on the Coraz shirt is wider, more reminiscent of the men's wardrobe. On the other hand, they have exactly the same curved volume.
We'll be able to find the Cinema shirtA feminine, oversized, loose-fitting garment with a drooping armhole. In the same volume, the Charlot shirtIt has a slimmer collar than the Cinema shirt, making it even more feminine.

In a nutshell:
- CORAZON and CORAZ shirts are regular-fit models.
- The COVER, CINEMA and CHARLOT shirts are oversize models.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WOMEN'S SHIRT?
The Cover shirt . Because it has that masculine-feminine side that I love. And I take it in a larger size to accentuate the oversized side even more. I would wear it with our Vibrant trench coat and the Pilote pants, quite long and wide, for a more casual and urban look. And I would accessorize with a scarf.
And then otherwise, we also just created a new shirt model, the Casta shirt . It's a short-sleeved shirt, a little oversized. With a very pretty yoke detail on the sleeve and a beautiful neckline that reminds a little of the polo shirt. And if I had to make an outfit with it, I would wear it with the Poli pants and the Vamos jacket.
WHY ARE THESE MODELS ICONIC AND DO YOU LIKE THEM SO MUCH?
The material plays a big role, and it will also depend on the print. But I think what's appealing is that we have four basic cuts, which can suit almost every woman. Every woman can find herself in one of the Hartford shirt styles.

I'm a menswear designer at Hartford. This involves imagining and designing the brand's menswear collections, blending vintage and more contemporary inspirations. I work in particular on the choice of fabrics, cuts, and colors to create timeless pieces with that casual chic twist that's unique to Hartford. At Hartford, we draw heavily on the heritage of American workwear, tailoring, and iconic pieces from the 70s and 80s. This translates into authentic fabrics, such as chambray, flannel, and washed linen, adapted to today's needs and our customer feedback.
Can you tell us about the different men's shirt models?
First, there's the Paul shirt, a casual shirt that's one of the brand's first models. It's a timeless piece. This shirt has a more casual feel, thanks to its regular fit and soft collar. The Paul shirt is modernized thanks to the choice of fabrics, whether it's the right color or stripe... that's what makes it timeless and classic at Hartford.
Our second iconic model is the Pitt shirt , which has a strong American influence. With its very casual look, we wear it unbuttoned over a t-shirt. It's the US version of the Paul shirt. It's much more casual than the Paul shirt, thanks in particular to its button-down collar. We also made it in oxford fabrics, to wear it in a more sophisticated way.
The Paul shirt and the Pitt shirt complement each other, thanks to their different uses. What makes these styles work so well is their versatility. They can be worn both formally and informally. They've been available for years in a variety of fabrics and colors, both summer and winter, making them a true classic in men's wardrobes.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEN'S SHIRT?
So this season, I really like linen shirts , it makes the look even more casual. I would choose for example the Paul shirt in white linen, which I would wear open over a striped t-shirt and I would put all that on our favorite pants, the Fatigue in khaki. It's a great look for the weekend, very casual. Otherwise I also like a good striped shirt like the Pitt in blue and white striped oxford, worn buttoned over a gray t-shirt and with light pants like the Tyron. It gives a quite bright look, rather cool for sunny days! And I would add a cap to finish the look.
